Jack is back tasting at Bruce’s. Almost clear dark brown beer, little bubbly tan head. Palate is light and smooth with modest fine carbonation. Smooth dark malt with very light roast and dark chocolate. Touch of unsweet toffee. Light malt cream. Offset by a mellow cherry on the backend. Smooth finish. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours deep brown with a small light tan head. The nose is roasty, toast, earth, pepper, light smoke and umami. The taste is smooth, roasty, cocoa, earth, light bitterness, umami, dirt, soft berry and dark fruits, cherry comes through towards the end.... Medium body and average carbonation. A lot of umami going on. OK.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenny. Pours clear, deep-red brown with a fine, creamy off-white head. The aroma has leathery fruits, dry chocolate, slight tangy prune. Medium sweet flavor with dark fruits, light burnt wood, more dry chocolate, toasted marshmallows and earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, some charred bread, chalky cocoa, dried and leathery fruits. Not bad.
