Cask, 5 % abv, shared with Finn at Hopbunker. Lasting, patchy fawn-coloured head, spotty lacing, near-black body. Aroma of sweet dark malts, hints of cocoa. Mid-sweet malty flavours, doughy, some prunes and cocoa. Roasted endnotes. Nice in smaller amounts, a tad too sweet in the long run. (Cardiff 02.05.2017).

Keg at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours deep brown with a creamy, light khaki head. The aroma holds dry cocoa, mellow roast, some earth. Light-medium sweet flavour with modest bittersweet baking cocoa, burnt biscuits, a little scorched earth. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with restrained cocoa, mild earthy bitterness, ripe berries. Fun stuff. Solid.
