Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 11/11/2025.
Lighter shade of black with a khaki head that thins to the edge.
Nose is dark malts, herb, rum soaked oak, dried fruit rinds, spice.
Taste comprises dark malts, lick of molasses, spice, herb, toffee, ginger.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Fun enough offering and gets the Jamaica cake vibe across.

1/11/2025. Can at the ITFC beer share. From Beer Central, Sheffield. Good looking beer. Aroma is spiced, rummy, cakey, chocolate. Some sweetness but spiced bitterness is more dominant and a bit too much. Expected more cakey sweetness. Not too much body. Nice looks and aroma though.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines probably. Not too far off black. Slim wispy beige head. Nose has Jamaica Ginger Cake, funnily enough. Taste is light sweet with a light spicy bitterness. Decent body. Semi sweet spicy finish.

One-third, draught, sample tray at Beer Engine. Patchy, off-white surface, fair lacing, black in the glass. Roasted chocolate aromas, earthy, inviting. Rather sweet blended taste of dried fruits, caramel, earth, and chocolate. Hints of spices to a malt driven ending. Medium bodied. Decent. (Sheffield, 30.04.2025).
