Our annual collaboration with Lost and Grounded this year is a black IPA, with all the punch of a West Coast IPA, Black Thaw also has a subtle hint of dark malt. We have married our hop selection with Lost and Grounded's Big Thaw 6 and have chosen two classics, Centennial and Amarillo along with a newly released hop, Erebus. Flavours of candied fruits, berries and citrusy orange come together with a lasting bitterness.

Can at Hereford Beer House Saturday 18th October 2025 in the company of Baz and Isobel. Pours murky brown/black with a light cappuccino coloured head, wonderful bitterness, nice maltiness but pine and citrus, bittersweet lingers and there's a lengthy finish that leans towards dry.

On tap at Board Room Folkestone Tap Takeover. Dark brown cola colour lasting beige head. Black ipa aroma
I.e. malty and hoppy. Lime citrus hoppy. Bit fizzy in the mouth. OK malt and hop. Bit too fizzy. And I still want a bit more malt backbone

440ml can courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Gluten Free. Black brown colour, foamy biege head and aroma of citrus, pine, resiny hops. Taste is sweetish, malty, roasty, molasses, tangy, ashy, with floral orangey citrus, pine, wood, oak, and resinous hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying roasty citrusy hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Moderate sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Well done. Also bought a can to enjoy later. And it was very good too. See photo. 14/6/2025.
