Bottle purchased at Finback LIC: pours black with beige head. Ample amounts of vanilla, loads of coffee, excellent chocolate, restrained but pleasant barrel treatment. Beer is pretty hefty, but still smooth and drinkable without much alcohol burn. Complex. Quite good.

Tap @MBCC 2025, Yellow Session. Oily black, no head. Strong coffee, heavy dark malt and vanilla aroma. Strong coffee and bittersweet dark malty flavour.

On tap at MBCC 2025 (Yellow session), pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of intense vanilla, with subtle oak barrels, and medium roast. Flavour is rich, with deep roasted malt, bourbon barrels, deep sugars, and huge vanilla that lingers. Really good dry barrel character that gives way to the vanilla. Excellent.
