Pale Ale with a Mediterranean trait, produced in collaboration with the Spanish brewery Guineu, the Taronja, Catalan for orange, is a refreshing, dry and hoppy beer in which the fragrant notes of the malts well harmonize with the citric flavor lent by the American hops varieties and of the orange peel infused during the boiling.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with average, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Citrusy hoppy and caramel malty aroma, hints of orange, orange zest. Taste is dry, citrusy hoppy, caramel malty basis almost without residual sweetness; crisp, very drinkable.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours intense gold with fine white foam. Aroma is beautifully citrus, orange peel. Body is fairly light, with a slight feeling of astringency. Taste is bitter mostly, though not extreme. Finish is relatively long and bitter.

On keg @ Cloisters on 15th June. Appearance - amber brown. Nice fluffy head. Nose - toffee and biscuits. Sweet malt note too. Taste - more malty biscuits. The toffee is there too but subtle. Palate - light to medium bodied. Dry crunchy middle section. Dry and fairly elegant finish. Overall - more of a bitter than a session ipa. But good.

Draught Faint rim, some lace over pale copper beer. Fruity, hoppy nose, white grapes, bit of sulphur, oranges. Bitterish-fruity, again fruit as grapes, faint sweetness balanced by orangepeel. Well-carbonated, light body, slick. Not bad, nothing special.
