Full bodied black stout. We use lots of oats to give a good mouthfeel and dark malts provide lots of backbone with toffee and caramel tones. Final gravity is 1013 giving an element of sweetness to balance the bitterness from the roast malts. This is a very easy drinking stout.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A dark mahogany pour with a tight creamy cap; aroma of toasted oats; sweet bready body, with porridge oats and some chocolate malt adding flavour and bitterness; then a silky finish. A rather good stout.
