HBC 1019 takes the stand in Scalar, our first use of the hop, and it does not disappoint. Overripe mango and fleshy stone fruits pour out of this IPA. The body of the beer supports this, creating one of our most luxurious IPAs this year.

Tap at 73 Enid Street. A murky golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is lovely grape jelly, waxy citrus, lime zest, soft wheat. Big Sabro like hop on the nose. Flavour is composed of semi sweet soft fluffy wheat, tangy lime, zesty, green citrus, waxy, background tropicals. Sabro adjacent. Palate is semi sweet, light tangy, highish carbonation. Nice nice.

Pours milky murky pale yellow green with a thin white head that fades to islands. Loads of ripe stone fruit, mango, a little hop bitterness on the end with a hint of lime. Quite a rich creamy mouthfeel and on the finish. Like it but took a few sips to get going.
