Bottle from HoTM. It pours deep reddish - brown white a rugged fluffy white head. The aroma is initially musty, bitter - sweet, bruised bananas, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, pile tobacco, cacao nibs, toasty grains, malt loaf and a touch of speculoos. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, snappy, bitter - sweet character, date, raisin, toasted fruit cakes, malt loaf, cacao nibs, brown bread, some alcohol presence, nutty and a touch of praline with a toasty finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Carbonation is quite pronounced. Quite hearty. A decent and nourishing Belgian brown.

Toffee, orange zest, cinnamon, old books, and sawdust. Sweet and malty, with a mellow, dusty bitterness. Medium body, sticky, and grainy. Solid and fairly complex.

33cl bottle from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours a beautiful red brown, clear, with fine, light cream foam. Aroma is caramel, figs. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is moderately sweet. Final is a little on the dry side.

Bright clear amber beer, decent cream colour head. Airy palate, smooth and mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft creamy malts. Abundant esters and dried fruits in the mid along with a mild tangy bitterness. Whispers of citric peel and candy fruits. Bubblegum esters louder on the soft finish. Tasty dubbel if a tad estery.

Ambar nebulosa, de espuma duradera que deja película constante. Aroma a malta caramelo, uvas pasas y frutos secos. En boca es agradable al paladar, de cuerpo medio e intenso sabor con todo lo que anunciaba en el aroma y un contrapunto de amargor moderado. Esconde bien el alcohol y se disfruta.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. More fruity than I expected with brown malt, ripe/dried fruits, some caramel and toffee, spicy yeast. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet, light bitter. Body is medium. Quite alright.
