33 cl bottle. Clear golden color. White head. Aroma’s: fruity, sweetish, with retronasal some (German?) aromahops. Flavor is light malty sweet, light fruity, and, if you concentrate enough, faint bitterness. Light bodied. Still some sweetness in the finish, with light bitterness. OK for a pilsener, but not for an IPL.

33 cl bottle from family mart in shima-kitazawa. All-malt beer. Clear, dark gold color, short white head, decent lacing. Aroma of lager malts and soapy/lavender hops. Watery texture, quite carbonated, light floral-lavender dry finish with some solvent, light metallic bitterness. Really anonymous, had some expectation on this since the Grand Kirin series is generally good.

Bottle, 330 from the local supermarket in Tokyo. Pours clear golden, white head. Some hops in aroma, malty, grainy, bit herbal. Sweetish with vague bitterness in finish. Not that bad.

330mL bottle. Golden yellow with white head. Had very low expectations that were exceeded. Grainy, with mild citrus.

From the bottle on the train. Probably golden. A little bit of hop on the nose. On the palate, light pale malts, touch of bitterness and a vague herbal hop accent. Touch of alcohol is noticeable in the finish. About what you’d expect if a macrobrewer set out to make an IPL. So decent strong pale lager.

Bottle (Lawsons). Clear gold with a white head. Biscuity aroma with some grapes and a (minor but) weird tyre/ ozone thing. Sweet and straightforward taste with some booze showing at the end. Some herbs there too. Low bitterness. I don’t understand what they were going for (not the Indian Premier League, right?) or whether they would think they succeeded.

Bottled shared. Huge skunky aroma dominates the nose. Sweet on the palate and feels heavy and slightly boozy. Some light hop bitterness on the finish with some herbal notes. Meh. --- Beer merged from original tick of Grand Kirin Dip Hop IPL on 31 Mar 2016 at 18:32 - Score: 4. Original review text: Skunked....

33cl can from Family Mart enjoyed at a hotel in Nagoya. Pours deep golden with a modest, white head. Mild hoppy and fruity aroma, a bit candy like, some caramel and malt and hints of herbs and citrus. Medium sweet with mild, but fairly pleasant hoppy flavours and a half-decent bitterness. Quite okay.
