Our Amber Ale is designed to start bright and lively from an abundance of Crystal Malts. We establish a strong contrast between front palate and back palate by adding generous amounts of Munich Malt, which provides a distinct toasty finish.

Barley malt nose with traces of cherries. Dark amber, thin yellow head. Astringent flavor of cardboard. Finishes with white grape skins. Not a particularly good example of the style.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours clear amber with a slight beige head. Aroma of light caramel. Med body/frothy carb. Flavor is light roast malt with an earthiness. It hasn’t got citrus/floral/pine. More of an herby/earthy note. But it is bitter. Slightly astringent. Could be ok session beer.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Off-white head quickly recedes to skim surface. Butterscotch aromas. Nuts, caramel and toast upfront turning sour and bitter in the lasting finish.

Nice clear amber with a full white head that lingers and leaves a coral-patterned residue and lines the glass. Crisp malty aroma. Medium mouthfeel. Taste lacks complexity with some earthiness.

Pours deep copper to amber with thin off white head. In the aroma I get crystal malts, faint hops and that off smelling organic malt twang. The taste is much nicer than the nose with roasty malts, crystal malts and an assertive hoppiness for the style. Full flavored roasted up amber. Aside from the sort of off aroma this was pretty tasty.
