Beyond Forever is a stout blend built for the rich and creamy character of Ugandan vanilla beans. A trio of stouts that aged in Willett, Weller, and Blantons barrels create a complex base of dark chocolate, toasted almond, vanilla soaked oak, and ganache. The vanilla beans blossom into ripe fig and silky milk chocolate notes. A cosmic abyss of vanilla splendor best explored with an astral confidant.

500ml (thx, Kevin G.!) @ Ryan's shared with Farees. Side by side with Double Barrel version.
Aroma: nice vanilla (and awesome chocolate from the bottle), some berries, American oak.
Taste: vanilla, kinda roasty, a bit soapy.
Overall: quality, but it's not very impressive IMHO.

Poured from 1 pint .9 fl oz bottle (side by side with Double Barrel Beyond Forever). Very dark brown with small beige head. Nice vanilla aroma on the nose. Fruity berry like vanilla on the taste, blends nicely, fairly simple, but solid.

500ml (thx, Kevin G.!) @ Ryan's shared with Brian. Appearance: very dark brown with some beige head. Aroma: loads of vanilla, nice American oak, some dark chocolate. Quite sophisticated. Taste: moderately sweet and thick, lots of vanilla, some chocolate, earthiness from vanilla beans notes, brown sugars. I would prefer this one to be more smooth and silky. Overall: it's good, but IMHO it's still not worth the hype.

Bottle. Pours deep opaque near black, small brown head, decent lacing. Aroma has notes of vanilla fudge, bourbon; whoah, it really is fudge. Flavor is medium plus sweet, light bitter; a kiss of vanilla on a fudgy beer tempered by light bourbon notes. Full body, creamy.

Smooth and sweetish with loads of vanilla beans, hints of rye, some bourbon, toffee, syrup, chocolate and oak. Bottle. Pours deep opaque near black, tiny tan head, no real lacing. Aroma has notes of vanilla fudge, bourbon; whoah, it really is fudge. Flavor is medium plus sweet, light bitter; a kiss of vanilla on a fudgy beer tempered by light bourbon notes. Full body, flat. Suffers a bit for the lack of carbonation, but still a fine beverage.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma is malt forward with really nice chocolate notes and lighter roast character. Medium light vanilla notes with lighter notes of bourbon and oak and hints of almond. Light alcohol notes. Pours jet black with a medium small, thick, mocha colored head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers on the edges. Light lacing and fairly long legs. Flavor is rather sweet with lots of dark and bitter chocolate malt notes. Lighter notes of caramel and hints of roast. Moderate bitterness and light alcohol notes. Light bourbon notes and hints of almond, oak and faint notes of raisin and dark fruit. Mouthfeel is rather full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice BA stout. The barrel character and vanilla works well the chocolate forward, malt character. Alcohol is fairly well hidden.
