Curled up with a good book or cutting through whitecaps in your trusty canoe, there is simply nothing better than the companionship of a loyal, loving dog. We know from experience – our dogs come with us wherever we go (including to work at the brewery every day).

Taking this bond to heart, we first brewed our award-winning American Brown Ale, Old Brown Dog. Years later, it remains a stalwart example of the style, beloved across New England for its distinct and refreshing flavor. When the occasion calls for something big on flavor but without the hop punch, Old Brown Dog is an unbeatable choice.

Reliable and robust, playful and adventurous, it’s the beer we reach for no matter where we’re headed – just like our trusty pup.

Refrigerated 12 oz can poured into a glass. Clear light brown with beige head. Aroma is nutty malt, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is nutty malt.

Viisakas brown ale, aga no brown ale on võrdlemisi igav stiil, seega väga mingeid tundeid ei tekita..

Brown with a thin, off-white head. Strong dankness accompanied by toffee, nuts, moldy old wood and grass. Taste is very mildly bitter on a sweet, caramel-filled, malty base. Medium-bodied, mostly mild carbonation. Not bad. The overpowering dankness hurts the likability.

Pours brown with a thick white head and a fair amount of sediment. Aroma of dark malt. Taste is extremely smooth with an alcohol taste, some nuts and earthy notes. Palate includes the same as the taste. Mouthfeel is extremely silky.

12 oz bottle from Acme, brown amber clear with medium carbonation. Medium body, roasted grain aroma. Taste is more scotch ale than traditional brown ale, with the finish more hoppy than malty.
