Indian Summer is a light profile American-style wheat ale spiced with Orange Peel and Coriander. Our recipe uses a mix of wheat and pale barley. This beer is very lightly hopped to allow the spices to shine through. Clean fermenting yeast produce a very dry, crisp base to further accentuate the spices. The aroma has a distinct citrus note without being overly fruity.

12oz bottle. Slightly hazy, but still looks filtered. Thin orange-tan, this soda-like head. Grainy, light bodied. Watery bodied, rather insipid beverage. Not offensive, some light spices don’t really add anything other than a medicinal feel. Balanced in some respects I suppose. Sort of has a Wit feel, some pleasant vanilla wheat tones. Tolerable, but not too removed from macro swill.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of Cavie. Thanks Travis! A touch hazy, yellow-orange appearance with a fluffy, off white head. Slightly spicy, moderate orange-lemon citrusy, effervescent, wheat malty nose. Bubbly, lemon-orange citrusy, orange peel, spicy, coriander, light wheat malty flavor. Pretty easy drinking, nice wheat.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange-ish yellow with a small fizzy white head. Not a bad beer. Slightly tart with obvious orange peel and coriander notes. Fairly dry. Yeasty finish. Some mildly spicy wheat character. Relatively effervescent mouthfeel. Better than expected.

0.33L bottle, small head, clear dark orange colour, bordering on the brown, aroma of wheat, spicey hops and peach, aroma of wheat, jam, medium hoppy bitterness and some metalic notes, long light sour aftertaste. Feels a little overcooked, fair.

Bottle. Beer of the Month club. Clear golden color with a quickly-diminishing medium white head. Spicy aroma with some coriander notes, wheat, a bit of flowers, citric notes and fruits. Slightly over-spicy flavor with some sweet malt, bread and some fruitiness. Finishes drier, slightly grassy, with a bit of hops. Light-medium body.

From my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden-amber color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was sour, tangy and citric with an odd off element that was almost skunky and nearly industrial. The flavor was sweet, tangy and yeasty with notes of sugar and citrus. Long tangy, sugary and yeasty finish. Eh.

Bottled@omhper. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, some wood and zestyness. Also some strange rather earthy notes. Flavour is quite much bready malts, some spices, zest and mild fruityness.

Bottled, thanks Cletus! Clear deep golden with coarse bubbles that fails to form a head. Perfumy lemon aroma. Mid-sweet with clean, hard mouthfel and light body. Very simplistic abd sketchy beer, a session beer without drinkability.

Bottle from TheCheeseMan, thanks! Blonde, pours a massive head. Grassy citrus aroma, just a touch spicy. Malty citrus flavor with coreander, orange, cardemom and anis. Just a hint of tartness. Decent.
