Im Glas trüb und satt goldgelb bis bernsteinfarben mit gelb-orangen Reflexen. Die weiße feinporige Schaumkrone gibt sich sehr stabil und auch sehr gut haltbar. Die "Haltungsnoten" sind also einwandfrei! Eine weiche, fruchtige, hefige, sahnig-bananige Aromatik mit einer leichten Zitrusnote zieht um die Nase. Der Antrunk kommt frisch und spritzig und bringt eine leichte Malzaromatik mit. Am Gaumen vernimmt man eine weizentypische weiche Haptik mit... hm... womit eigentlich. Es wirkt ziemlich dünn und ehrlich gesagt sehr langweilig. Sogar meine Partnerin meinte, dass es alkoholfreie Weizenbiere gibt, die mehr Geschmack haben. Und auch ich muss sagen, dass ich das eine oder andere alkoholfreie Weizen kenne, das mit diesem Weißbier mithalten kann. Zwar schmeckt es nicht schlecht oder gar grauenvoll - nur eben viel zu wenig nach dem, was die Optik und Olfaktorik versprechen bzw. viel zu viel von nichts. Die ganz passable Vollmundigkeit kommt von der Hefe und von den Trübstoffen. Auch eine ganz gute Süffigkeit lässt sich darauf zurückzuführen, aber es ist wirklich schade, denn aus 11,7 ° Plato bei 5 % Alkohol sollte sich doch mehr machen lassen. Im Abgang zeigen sich natürlich auch die fruchtig-hefigen Aromen wieder, verflüchtigen sich aber doch relativ rasch.

0,5 l bottle from Getränke Rücker, Lengerich. Cloudy dark golden flat orange in the glass, huge more than three finger steady white foamy head. Typical fruity smell, some banana and orange with clove. Taste starts with more wheat and yeast, fruity in the second row, also chewing gum. Lower carbonated than expected. Little bit dry to the end. Okay.

Fles 50cl thuis gedeeld. Banaan, fruitig, niet te zoet, yeasty, licht kruidig. (19-9-2020).

500ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Wheaty malty, yeasty fruity and slightly yeasty spicy aroma, notes of banana, banana bread, some clove, leafy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet, wheaty malty, yeasty fruity and minimally yeasty spicy, minimally citrusy, notes of banana, some clove, a lemon dash. Watery texture, indifferent palate, rather coarse, slightly prickly carbonation. Quite the average banana thing...

Appearance: Golden orange, slightly hazy. Small, fizzy white head. More later. Aroma: Light, ripe fruits. Banana, wheat. Taste: Good wheat, light ripe fruits, banana. Slight sweetness. Smooth. Bought: Wittich, 500 ml, CHF 3.60 Info: 16/4-2020, BB: 28/8-2020

Bottle. Again, green glassware. The skunk was unbearable in the keller, lets see how it acts for a weisse... Pours unclear blonde, small white head ( which is unusual for the style ) with medium to medium high stability. Smell is banana esters, not to much clove phenols. No real skunky aroma ( perhaps its been taken over by the yeast character here ) wheat in the background. Gives the impression of what I think will be a sweet beer. Taste is sharp, due to very high carbonation ( not to my liking, but in style for sure ) . When carbo fades away, beautifull tones of wheat, and banana rise up. Light amounts of cloves. Tad sweet, but not as sweet as I thought it out to be. Skunk isnt to be noticed as much as the keller. some traces of it ( not botheringly so ), to a point i might just taste it rather because I saw the green bottle, than it is actually in the beer, Or maybe this bottle was kept dark all it's life, where the keller was not, or maybe this is due to the bigger amounts of other flavors, and less hops. Anyway, still wonder why you have to persist in using green glassware when you know it creates flaws. Good thing the beer doesnt show these flaws as much though. Maybe a bit lower carbonation could benefit the beer (to me), even though this is still correct for the styler as it is.

Rediculous green bottle. Pours cloudy yellow to orange with a nice long-living white head. Nose: banana, overripe apples, white bread, a tiny touch of clove. Nice smell. Light to medium body. Average carbonation. Taste: light sweet, massive wheat malt and banana, apple peel, distant hop. Tart ending. Nice weizen in the end.

On tap at Gasthof Neuhaus, Mayrhofen, Austria, in the company of Mum and Keith, Saturday 17th August 2019. Pours orange gold with a white head, wheaty with a white head, a little citrussy and banana. This is pretty good.

Leicht vergoren fruchtig, leicht getreidig. Über allem schwebt eine angenehme, aber dezente Bitterkeit. Geschmacklich absolut OK. Vielleicht etwas wässrig, aber auch extrem süffig. Gut für den großen Durst und heiße Tage.
