Die Königsmarke der Brauerei Hirt ist – wie alle Hirter Biersorten – nicht pasteurisiert, gentechnikfrei und somit völlig naturbelassen. Im Antrunk weich und schlank und im Abgang harmonisch zartbitter.

500ml bottle. Lightly cloudy pale yellow-tan color. Thin, oily head. Mellow, but crisp noble hop aroma. A rather well done Pils, very thirst quenching and drinkable. Soft, doughy, yeast nuances. Well balanced, with a mild hop spiciness. Extra points because it’s probably been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long and it still holds up. Watery, but still has some character.

Bottle in Vienna. Golden yellow color. Decent head, lasted a while. Predominately hoppy aroma, with a bit of underlying malt. Maybe a little fruity or grassy as well. Average light body for a pils. Decent malt, but not too strong. Good hops. Slight citrus flavor. Long-lasting bitter aftertaste. Not as complex as the best pils I have had, but refreshing and decent tasting, with sufficient hopping to make an impression. Had it on tap once and it was not as good!

(bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a blond foamy head of medium size. Light-sweet, delicately grainy malty nose with sour dough, a touch of dust and herbal hoppy spice. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Grainy and slightly chalky malty base with a touch of herbal hops and sour dough; dry and moderately bitter finish. Average Pils, reminding me a bit of a Helles (11.XI.08).

Bottle. Pale blonde. Malty, light grassy aroma and flavor with a touch of citric hopbitterness. Satisfyingly balanced, fairly tasty pils. (was 3.0) Tasted again, bottle in august 2013. Grass and butter in the shy aroma. Medium bodied. Grassy, soft metallic flavor with bready notes and apple. Apple and hints of olive oil in the aftertaste.

Bottle, 5.2%. Lagery and spicy hop aroma. Clear yellow colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is quite spicy from the hops, which is nice. The bitterness starts off quite astringent, but seems to fade out a bit. A little sewer in the finish, but all in all a good lager.

Bottle. Pale golden to golden, mid-sized fluffy white head. Distinctive sweetish-strawy nose with some bisquity undertones and a very delicate hoppy touch. Very smooth MF, moderate sweet-bitter flavour. Slightly lingering mild sweet-bitter finish. A mild, but very clean and pleasant Pilsener.......
