There are some truths in the world that many people fail to come to terms with; the fact that E.T. is a Jedi, that M. Night Shyamalan has made multiple good movies, and that Session Beers are incredible. With farmer's tan weather in full swing, we felt it was only fitting to dip our toes back in the kiddie pool of sessionable beers with Flamingo Lagoon, a Tropical Sour Ale that weighs in at an uber-crushable 3.5% and is splashing flavors of passionfruit and dragonfruit. Being low ABV is only part of being the perfect summer smasher, nailing the perfect final gravity so that the beer drinks super dry and refreshing but retains just enough body to balance out the spritzy carbonation and let those tropical flavors soak in like some SPF 50 before a dip in the lazy river. Making a lower-alcohol beer full of flavor isn't the easiest task to accomplish, but we think we nailed it and plan on throwing plenty back during these three weeks of sunshine.
