During the Variation of IPA Wars of 2008, many participants didn't live long enough to hear that Hey Soul Sister song or see Black Flys sunglasses go out of style. One of those casualties was the antithesis of cool; the Red IPA. An excellent beer style that we think deserves to be redeemed. With our take on the style, This Was The Way is everything we love about a Red IPA with deep-rooted notes of honey, biscotti, grilled Hawaiian bread, and toffee, all elevating the Amarillo hops notes of peach juice, Rio red grapefruit, orange blossoms, and tangerine puree. Reboots catch a lot of flack, but sometimes they can be a breath of fresh air.
