A good imperial IPA, classical and not disgusting, subtle alcool, a bit sweet, a bit resinous, decently hoppy, citrus, aromatic, 19.11.18, at Bonfol, I have purchased this beer at the coop, next to Zürich HB.

Tap @ Andorra Bar, Zurich. Clear golden body with a nice white head. Aroma has malt, ripe fruit and marmalade with resin and some caramel. Flavor has a distinct sweet malt base, some ripe or dry fruit, light caramel, resin and decent bitterness. Almost full bodied with a sweet and bitter aftertaste. Drinkable but nothing special really.

Ein wuchtiger Doppelhammer, Süsse und Hopfigkeit schön ausbalanciert. Die schwere, fast zähflüssige goldgelbe Masse fliesst toll herunter, und im Kopf künden sich bald die 8% an. Muss mein 1. Urteil klar verbessern. Einer meiner Favoriten von Doppelleu!

ABV: 7.8%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, rich malt, malty, moderate to light heavy hoppy, rich fruit, dried fruit, sweet fruit, light woody hops. Initial and middle flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter, finish flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, wood - pine bitter, rich malt, sweet malt, dried fruit, sweet hops, rich hops, warming, malty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic (bock alike). [20190919]

Un territorio olfattivo dominato dal luppolo. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e la maniera in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è media. Il liquido si presenta velato. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma del perlage. La carbonazione è persistente. Il colore è ambrato scarico. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è carico. La forza gustativa è molto elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona e lunga. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. In bocca l'aroma è quello di miele, frutta secca, resina, pino, agrumi, pompelmo, arancia amara, ananas e mandarino.
