Gift from a colleague. Clear copper gold. Thick foamy white head is short-lived. Aroma has citrus grains and corn syrup. Flavourwise it has a citrus sourness. Metallic edge. Underlying malts and some artificial fruit. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Had worse. Nice enough.

Uzbekistan’s national standard lager – really almost every country in the world seems to have one, thank God for the country tickers; apparently governed by Carlsberg. Thanks tderoeck for sharing. Medium thick, snow white, quite large-bubbled head lacing in shreds over a crystal clear ‘old golden’ beer with tiny-bubbled sparkling. Aroma of moist raw cereals, popcorn, wet grass, flour, rubber, wet kitchen towels, plastic. Sweetish graininess in the mouth as expected, with that annoying corn-like side taste; slick and bit glueish mouthfeel, but of course very thin as well. Vague metallic notes and grassy touches in the finish, but remaining very low in bitterness so that this bland graininess remains about the only thing you will ever taste in this one. Boring to death, thin and simplistic even for a macro-brewed industrial lager – like all the lagers from Central Asia, it seems…

Clear blond yellow beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, sweet impression, grains, wort, sugary, apple juicy, hay, ok but rather boring. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet start, malty, bit metallic, banana, banana peel. Aftertaste: grains, hay, cow fodder, bit metallic.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Slightly hazy gold colour, white bubbly head and aroma of grains, malt, sweet fruits. Taste is sweet malty, grainy, boiled sweets, with some straw, fruity notes and light bitterness. Light bodied, medium carbonation, drying malty bitter finish with residual sweetness. Kind of OK
