King Julius is an American Double IPA brewed to be an exceptionally flavorful, juicy, and hop saturated beer without rough edges or abrasiveness. Its vivid citrus aromas give way to flavors of orange creamsicle, mango smoothie, and a bounty of fresh tropical fruit. We find it to be refined and delicate amid an onslaught of flavor. Originally brewed in 2012, King Julius is our endeavor to marry our past with what we aspire to be in the future.

Can. Wonderfully balanced with an aroma of tropical fruits, creamy oats, orange, some mango. Moderate bittersweetish flavour. Body is medium. Beautifully drinkable, balanced. Great.

17/02/2024 Palace Hall Malmö Feb 2024 tasting Part 2 - intense punchy juicy fruity hits offered up here, very rich and overripe fruity, set upon a sweet malty backbone, piney solid balanced bitter hoppy finish. Lovely, glad to have finally tried this.

Can at home from J and B Craft Drinks, Amsterdam, 28th January 24. Pours a thick hazy orange hop soup. Aroma candied fruits, citrus, dank, mellow. Taste is dank, overripe citrus and tropical fruits, candied and caramelised oranges, bittersweet and then bitter lingering pithy oranges with a hint of tropical fruits. Intense and enjoyable.

Pours a murky orange colour and a firm rocky white head with good retention. Aroma's: floral, dank hops, soft fruit, light citrus. Retronasal it's superdank, citrus, pineapple. Flavour is (above) moderate bitter and light moderate sweet. Soft carbonation. Medium bodied. Long finish, ending in a firm earthy bitterness.

473ml can. Hazy, dark yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Rich and intense, juicy, tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, oaty malty background, notes of mango, passion fruit, peach, guava etc. pp., more subtle citrusy and piney aspects as well (mandarine, orange). Taste is tropical and citrusy fruity hoppy, mild hop bitterness, subtle piney and grassy aspects, oaty malty basis with low residual sweetness, notes of mango, peach and lemon, less intense notes of passion fruit, guava, nectarine, mandarine and orange. Creamy-oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy palate, fine, dense, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation. Well crafted, well balanced, multifaceted and but harmonious and homogeneous, immensely drinkable - excellent!
