Hops are the name of the game with a Double IPA, but we knew we had to take it one step further. With Hop Bullet, we’re using a new technique, hitting the beer with a one-two punch of Magnum hops and lupulin dust—pure, concentrated hop flavor—directly into the tank to emphasize the intense pine and citrus flavors of classic West Coast hops.

Can at Valhalla. Hazy golden color, white head. Clean aroma, some candyish maltiness, vague peach. Lean body, candy maltiness, vague ashy touches, trace hops, dry finish. Yup, dead, gone, bye fucking bye. It was apparently imported a few days ago, so it was dead on arrival, 5 and a half months old. I actually raised the score a little, to be more fair. Please stop importing ancient IPAs from other continents!

Bought a six pack of this at the nearby supermarket the first time I saw it. I’m opening a 12 oz can and pouring into my Buffalo Bayou tulip glass. The arrival is a non-hazy, bright yellow liquid followed with a snow white cover of foam. The scent is cut grass and citrus. The taste comes last, grapefruit, orange peel, pine needles, biscuit and an unexpected tangerine sweetness. A nice bitterness too. Well done.

Can from Systembolaget. A pretty decent hop hit here, old hops and that Lupulin dust. Boozy ending.

0.355 l can from 'Craftbeer-Shop.com', canned in February 2019. Clear, golden amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity, slightly grassy and a bit resiny aroma of mango, passion fruit and orange. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, gently fruity, moderately grassy and slightly herbal-resiny taste of mango, orange, passion fruit and a touch of pine, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, quite grassy, slightly herbal-resiny, grapefruity finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pretty light for a DIPA, rather classic hop profile, solid.

Can picked up from Biervana and consumed at home Saturday 25th May 2019 whilst cooking a Tangine of Garlic Beef with Cracked Olives and listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6Music. Pours light amber with the tiniest bit of haze a long lasting nice white head sits atop. Fruity and piney with a learning towards orange coming through. Malty aroma and in the mouth the substantial malty backbone is ever present. It's ok and a fine enough DIPA but overall I wish it would have offered a little more in both complexity and bitterness.
