Fruit Ale

Accompanying a simple malt base, blueberry, raspberry and tart cherry play in perfect harmony to create a slightly tart ale that sings with ripe, bursting fruit flavor. Aromas of dark berries, citrus and melon open the show, bridging to zippy fruit flavors that meld into an easy-drinking summer beer worthy of an encore.

Reddish pour with a small head. The aroma is full of berries. It has a sweet flavor with lots of berries. Not a sugar bomb though. There’s a little tartness. Quite good.

Sample at Pint Room Dublin during the Boulevard Pint Night event on 03/11/2020. Hazy reddish-copper color with a medium thin white head that burns away quickly to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of berry, wheat and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of raspberry, wheat, citrus and biscuit malt. The finish is mixed berries and wheat. Decent overall.

12 oz. can from a sample pack. Pours a clear, purple color, with a small, white head. The nose is black cherry, vanilla, lemon pith, and some earth. Sweet and fruity, with the barest hint of tartness. Light body, with a crisp, sticky palate. This is a pretty nice, mellow fruit beer.

From tap at Cardinal with JFE and JMD 12.03.20 as last chance before all pubs in Norway close at 6 pm today because of the corona-virus. Unclear head. Diminishing pink head and lacing. Refreshing aroma and taste of blueberries, cherries and a hint of yoghurt. Good!

Fra fat på den samfunnsviktige støtteinstitusjon Cardinal, 2 timer før store deler av Norge stenger ned: uklar mørkerød med fint skum som varer. Bringebær, blåbær og kirsebær i en deilig maltkropp.
