We've chucked in a boat of fresh Krush for this DDH IPA, and it does not disappoint. The aroma is like sticking your head in a bag of sweets or some fresh candy floss. Murky orange topped with a just off white head that retains.
Nose is ripe tropical fruits, dank edge, pine resin, guava.
Taste comprises grapefruit, pine needle, dank kiss, bitter orange.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close punctured with juicy come lightly resinous hop bitterness.
Solid.

`As Hooked on 586` Can at home picked up from 73 Enid. A hazed deep orange coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is nice sticky dank, orange, green mango, light fennel, grass, waxy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded, grains, wheat, stickty orange, assertive, green hop, fennel, grass, green mango, spicy citrus finish. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, sticky hop, resin, moderate carbonation. Very nice,. 8.1 14/06/2024.

Keg draught at the Real Ale Classroom (City Centre), Leicester. Mid to dark yellow gold, hazy with a light layer of white head leaving generous lacing. Lots Op hop in here without it quite becoming overbearing. Grapefruit, tropical fruits, that little bit of scallion. Intense hop-laden bitterness obscures the sweetness of the malt. Bitter finish and aftertaste. Medium body, soft carbonation. Not over-enamoured of this one.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light pale malts, a nice light creamy sweetness. Crisp pine. A mild savoury skunk into bright tropical fruits, mango and guava. Some people report passion fruit and I definitely get that as an undertone. Finishes light and semi dry with some hop spice coming through. I'm kinda surprised that HBC586 doesn't have a commercial name yet, especially given how widely embraced it has been by brewers. Remember how quickly HBC690 became Talus? Anyway, a cracking IPA that does a great job of soloing this hop.

Can from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of weed, kiwi fruit and pine. Flavour of grapefruit and herbs. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Fruity and herbal.
