Bottle from High Point, Vancouver
Dark brown color, the head disappears quickly. Very nice roasted malt quality, nutty, with delicate roasted coconut and hints of vanilla; off-dry but robust mouthfeel, more milky qualities in the final.
Very well done.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted barley and dry cocoa. Flavour brings out the coffee beans upfront, followed by medium roasted malt and oatmeal. Very hearty, finishing on notes of oats and coffee. Very well-made and tasty.

Keg at Red Squirrel High Wycombe. Black with a middling brown head. Nice frothy mouthfeel. Coffee is there from the off, with chocolate, roasty malts and some port-like fruitiness. Really great balance between malty sweetness and roasty bitterness. Very tasty, very drinkable, plus it put a smile on my face. An excellent stout.

33 cl bottle @ home. BBE 08/2017
Aroma has semi-dark chocolate and some manure. Flavour has dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, ash and mild mineral tones. Also licorice root. Aroma wasn’t promising but flavour is good, a tad too salty though.
