New pals Revenant Brewing Project, based out of Kuopio in central Finland, have only been brewing since late 2023 but have taken the Nordic brewing scene by storm and are putting out some serious good stuff. Together, we brewed a DIPA that’s super pale pastel yellow and smacks you in the nostrils with freshly ripened melon and sauvignon blanc, thanks to a heavy hopping of Riwaka and our good friend Nelson Sauvin.

3rd July 2025
Can. Hazy orange gold beer, small but tidy pale cream colour head. Light palate, slightly thin even, especially for a dipa! Mildly dry, good fine carbonation. Slightly thin bodied pale malts, a pleasant light creamy sweetness. Riwaka brings that enigmatic and exotic flavour profile, kinda savoury lychee but a little tropical fruits in there. Mellow skunk, possibly Nelson borne but, digging deep, some Nelson winey grape on the back end along with a mild hop spice tingle. Yeah, a very satisfying kiwi hop dipa. Had a feeling in my waters about this one and, the old man juices were right. For a change!

440ml can from The House of Trembling Madness. A murky golden/orange/yellow coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, grape, gooseberry, pine, melon and some tropical fruit taste. The aroma is more or less along the same lines. This was a quite excellent DIPA from Track that I consumed in minutes. More please.
