375ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Shared at a session with Finn. A deep black body, shiny naked surface, no lacing. Attractive aromas of mid-dry choco-caramel malt, gently roasted. Excellent stuff with a well blended flavour character of caramel and chocolate added by dried fruits, oaky. Solid finish, long-lived, smoothly roasted with integrated warming alcohol. Full bodied. Maybe a tad too sweet in the long run. Good drinking, indeed. (Tromsø, 27.10.2025).

quite mild aroma, but really delicious with a fairly dominating barley malty nutty note, attenuated by oak and every so slightly sweet fruity oxidated notes. In a way it has an aroma not dissimilar to a really really really good trappist quad. just more straight and balanced.
flavor is barley wine, slightly sweet caramelly, and some wood and quite a solid dose of bourbon. a sweet brew, but the sweetness works okay as it is after all a barley wine. almost as sweet as a mead.

Tap at the Peders Salikatt event - Toasted and sweet malty with caramel and toffee like sticky sweetness, dark dried fruit shred, brown sugar, full bodied, lovely bourbon into the sweet malty lingering finish. Gorgeous.

From Backlog. 0,375 litre bottle, from Vinmonopolet Lillehammer, at a birthday party. Black with some brown head. Roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon, barrel, well balanced, hides the alcohol well. One of the best Norwegian beers I have tried.
