Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has a nice combination of barrel and sweet grains with toffee and a bit of tobacco underlying. Flavor has boozy sweet and slightly dark grains with growing bourbon and a bit of toffee backing.
