New Hokkaido beers are the union of new and old, mountains and rivers, rice and hops, cool forests and deep snow. It is the happy friendship of traditional Hokkaido brewing and the Pacific Northwest urge to discover something new.

Gustav Dose grew up listening to fairy tales told by his Japanese mother—stories of haunting and delightful figures who lived in the shadows and up on the mountain slopes. As he moved around the world, these stories followed him, until one day they appeared as the names of his beers.

Admin Note: New Hokkaido Brewing Company is contract brewed out of Mountains Walking Brewery in Bozeman, MT. Gustav Dose owns both New Hokkaido and Mountains Walking but treats them as separate brands.
