The Blacksmith brewery was founded in August 2019 in Waterloo au Chenois by two students from the region. Nicolas Flammang and Maxence Deboeck.
The name “Blacksmith” is a nod to Nicolas's ancestors, since the brewery is located in the old family forge dating from the 1930s. The brewery's recipes are thought out and tested in the brewery located in Waterloo. Once these are considered successful, a larger brew is made in another brewery making their facilities available.
