Eagle Brewery’s Damm era began in November 2022 when the Spanish brewing giant S.A. Damm acquired the Eagle Brewery from Carlsberg Marston's, establishing its first production footprint outside the Iberian Peninsula.
A £70 million modernization culminated in a grand reopening in October 2025, the Bedford facility doubled its capacity to 1.8 million hectoliters per year.
The heavily upgraded site serves as Damm's primary manufacturing and distribution hub for the UK market, locally brewing its flagship Estrella Damm lager.
Damm UK's acquired the "Old Speckled Hen" family of ales from Greene King in May 2026. Production is continuing at the Westgate Brewery during a handover period before fully transitioning to the Damm Eagle Brewery in Bedford by June 2027.
