Rich yellow beer supporting a white head as one would expect for a Pilsner. Slight hop bitterness and crisp finish make this a drinkable Pilsner.

This has a rich brown color with an off white head. Malt aroma is predominant. The flavor is rich, malty and sweet with a slightly bitter touch in the finish. Another fine Brooklyn offering.

$1.29 for a single 12-oz. Light to medium amber, with an inch head. Has the characteristics of an IPA in the scent: hoppy, citrusy, etc... but it's a bit subdued. I like a nice strong smelling IPA. Hoppy with no flavor. Plain, ordinary... boring. Nothing special whatsoever. Boring... skip this IPA and go for a better one.

Price: $9.99/6-pack (12 oz bottles) - 2003 edition. Appearance: Nice deep amber, nice fluffy head that disappears quickly, but laces nicely. Smell: Definitely has a sweet wine scent to it. Nice. Taste: I'd give it a 3.75 if I could, but since we can't, it bumps down to a 3.5. Nice sweet bite going in, thick in the mouth, and finishes with a decent dry liquor taste, while warming my insides up as it goes down. It's drinkable, but never a session beer. It'd make a nice opener

Heavy malt aromas, laced with dark chocolate, come from this opaque black Stout. The head is huge - creamy and dense with a mocha color. Sweetly bitter, well balanced and creamy full body. Loads of chocolate linger on the tongue. Very nicely done and worth seeking out. This needs to be a year round brew.

This poured as sparkling clear amber with ample red highlights. What little head there was diminished quickly. Malty aroma with raisins and alcohol. This medium bodied beer was slightly syrupy with a sour/acidic bite to the palate. It had a sweet finish. This beer has a lot of competition.

Orange color; poor head. Strange vegetable aroma and flavor. (Sorry, I'm disturbed by Bov's mumbling, I can't tell more…). Soap. Strange. Unpleasant.

Brooklyn's East India Pale Ale is a well crafted brew. The hops get away with being somewhat subdued by the well balanced nature of this beer. Aroma is hops and malt, the head is thick and substantial, the flavor is dry with a good mouth feel. Under rated IPA.

2003 bottling. I enjoy barleywines, but this didn't do the trick. Poured red-brown with a light tan head that was initially thick but soon dissipated. Earthy hops aroma with fermented fruit notes. Flavor was not very interesting; slightly sweet fermented fruit notes mingled with earthy hops and strong alcohol flavors. Rather thin-bodied, which also contributed to the alcohol notes being so strong. Not a very good barleywine.

Brown-amber color. Fizzy aroma, white sugar (candy floss), malt, metallic, lightly hoppy. Quite dry, light mouthfeel, with a lot of caramel, some roasted malts and nuts, metallic. Average palate. Poor, IMO.
