A but muddled. And a bit too heavy on the caramalts. But it’s well fermented. A tiny bit vinegary. Sk adventkal

355ml can. Pours a hazy orange-copper with a small, creamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, grainy wheat, orange peel and floral hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, grainy wheat, orange peel, honey, tea and herbal hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a syrupy texture and average carbonation. Well balanced. More of an Amber Ale than Wheat Ale.

Bottle. (Labeled as Fugitive.) Hazy golden body. Frothy white head, rapidly diminishing. Timid aroma of lemon, dough. Light bitterness and lightly to moderately sweet. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not much going on, but it does go down easy.

Chocolate malt, rye, and hay aroma. Black with small brown head. Mildly sweet chocolate malt, tangy citric acid, and mildly bitter hay and alcohol flavor. Light body - rye whiskey finish. Like the 049-A, not very malty, but this one didn't take on the barrel characteristics as much. On the plus side, these are very reasonably priced at $10 a bottle - it's been a long time since I got a barrel aged beer for that price.

Chocolate fudge, malt, bourbon, and hay aroma. Black with moderate tan head. Lightly sweet chocolate malt, bourbon, moderately sour citric acid, and mildly bitter hay and alcohol flavor. Body light. Pretty good - would have liked a bit more malt flavor.
