Yep, got a sixer of these bottles for $9 at aldi. I'm immediately curios because it says its brewed at rock wall brewing in new york. I think it's actually Genesee. And yes, it is a pretty much on style IPA. Ignore my numbers because I don't like IPA, but I thought I'd grab this for a tick and to share with my ever loven IPA friends. The nose is pleasant hoppy perfume, no sign of BO in this. On the eye, its a pale beer with a slight haze and just a little tint of copper. Initially on the taste buds it comes across as an almost pleasant grapefruit citrus thing then, the big hop bitterness sets in, making it a typical IPA. Pretty good co2 level for and IPA and it's got a long bitter bite for a finish. I can't detect any odd astringent bite in this, which makes me think the brewer is experienced and knew what he was doing. Just reminder, ignore my numbers if you like IPA, its on style.

You know, for an Aldi-exclusive IPA, you could do a lot worse. Lots of caramel, orange marmalade, and pine, with an appreciable ABV and moderate bitterness. Reminiscent of Lagunitas IPA. Hurts to admit it, but not bad.

12 ounce bottle thanks to hershiser2! 5/21/22. Hazy yellow, large frothy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of strong citrus, wheat, hint of tropical fruit. Taste is wheat, tropical fruit. spice. Insanely high carb... prickly. Overall okay. Lower carb would make this a lot better.

Aldi. Mostly clear gold with a white head. Aroma is a bit on the malty side as well as the first sip. Then the bitterness comes in for a decent finish. Best $8.99/6 IPA I've had in years

Lidl bottle. My bottle states brewed by Central Virginia Brewing Company (which is actually Starr Hill). Also 5.1%. Tiny pour, giant head. Seriously half an inch of beer and the rest of the pint glass is head. Hazy gold, lots of carbonation. Cheap lager aroma, light coriander. Coriander, wheat, grasses, leaf, yeast, banana, spice. Decent flavor. It's been years since I had a Blue Moon, but I have to think I like this better.

Bottle, Aldi. Slightly hazy orange with a small off-white head. Nose is honey, grasses, citrus. Citrus peel, honey, brown leaf, grasses, caramel. Light bitterness. Not outstanding, but for the price totally drinkable.

Labeled as Wild Range IPA 6.9%: Rubber and grass nose, not strong. Relatively clear amber, medium head. Grass, orange peel. Medium body, easy carbonation. Entry level IPA, that costs less than macro swill. I'm happy about that.

Pours dark brown with a small ight tan head. It smells of roasted caramel malt. The flavor is sweet, toasted caramel malt and nuts. There's minimal hop bitterness. It's medium bodied and a fairly solid brown ale.
