Bottle from the Polish shop opposite the Barum Top Inn, Halifax. Extremely dark cherry red with a thin bubbly pale-red head. Fruity with a darker tasting cherry flavour. It’s fairly fizzy in the palate.

500ml blue can: BBD 8th Nov 15, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 4th Sep 15. Clear, bright and clean looking larger/pilsner, lovely deep white foaming head to the beer. More maltiness than hoppiness, but pretty bland all round really, some corn in the mix too, I know you can not taste alcohol, but you can feel it’s presence in this weak flavoured beer. Had to find some peanuts to help me finish the whole 500ml.

Fra boks på RBHD-treff ombord på Fridtjofen aug-15: klar lys gylden med hvitt skum. Standard industripøseøl i den høyere vektklasse, med tydelig sødme, lite aroma og hint av løsemiddel i den begredelige ettersmaken. Utterly forgettable.

Shared 500 ml can, from a Czech store in Gloucester. Golden colour, moderate white head. Weak aroma, some sweetish malty notes, a hint of solvent. Light bodied for its strength. Fairly uninteresting flavour, but not bad. Could have been worse.

zapach dość mocny, przyjemny, zdecydowanie chmielowy, trochę jak świeżo otwarta paczka chmielu, potem odrobina słodowości i trochę kanału w tle. kolor złoty, dość głęboki, klarowny. piana biała, obfita i zaskakująco trwała, ładnie zdobi szkło. w smaku pełne, słodowe, czuć lekkie przyprawowe posmaki, zielony pieprz, trochę piwnicy i kurzu i trochę metaliczności. goryczka niska, trzeba się jej naszukać, trochę ostra. nasycenie średnie do wysokiego. zdecydowanie lepsze od regularnego harnasia.

Pours a clear golden color, topped with an average sized white head. Grainy malt aroma, not much else going on in there. Body is very light, some bitterness in the finish to make it fresh. Drinkable, but nothing special. Just another euro lager.

Polskie piwo ale koncern dunski. Jak wiec wypadlo. zapach rybi, w posmaku jakby rybi posmak oraz krewetek tak mi sie kojazylo i z wilgotna sloma. Piana srednia ale blyskawicznie opada, babelki i slodowosc ktora niweluje posmak chmielu polaris. Jedyny plus to fajna i zgrabna butelka i bardzo ciemne szklo

Barwa złota, klarowna, piana słaba, szybko znika. Aromat znikomy, trochę jakby DMS, poza tym nic w nim nie ma, żadnego chmielu, śladowa słodowość. W smaku puste, woda, zero goryczki (napis na etykiecie "bez zbędnej goryczki" mówi wiele o tym piwie...), trochę alkohol, słaba słodowość, wysycenie średnie w stronę wysokiego. Nuda, nuda, gdzie ten Polaris, którym się chwalą ? Jak dla mnie niczym się praktycznie nie różni od zwykłego Carlsberga.
