Sample from the Decatur Craft Beer Fest. Black, with a rocky, tan head. The aroma is roasted malts, and resin. The taste is sweet and malty, with burnt malt bitterness. The palate is medium, grainy, and sticky. Overall, this is a one dimensional, overly burnt, and simple stout. Not bad, but it could be better.

Pours a light gold with a tall, long lasting, billowy white head. The aroma is light spice. The flavor is a bit washed out, but has some nice hop bitterness with a bit of sourness on the back end that detracts. A little muddled; it could be more crisp.
