Draught at Operagrillen
Muddy amber color, with small creamy head. The aroma is uninviting, very metallic, full of chemicals, but also very fruity; fermentation is a weird animal sometimes. The mouthfeel is soft and round with low carbonation and some light residual sweetness; caramel flavor, but again with an extremely high metallic and chemicals feeling; the yeast also produced a spicy character; and the bitterness is high.
Out of control.

Bottle at Operagrillen
The color is almost black, with brownish compact head, reducing quickly. Mild aroma of bread, malt, caramel, with a delicate fruity touch. Good body, strong and full, with round mouthfeel; it helps that the carbonation is relatively low and there is some residual sweetness; caramel flavor with a pleasant chocolate side; the bitterness is correctly low; in the very end there is some light liquorice too.
Well brewed and pleasant.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brwn with a huge tan head. Aroma is classic Kent Goldns and citrusy cascade even from a distance, sweet dense malty impression too. Sweet, solid bitter grapefruity and dense malty. Light alcohol feel, yet well hidden by the sweetness. Ends mixed sweet, bitter and light hops fruity. More an American barley wine then a UK one.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours rather dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark liqourice, roasted malt, almost tarish hard roasted. Mild acidic berry touch. Subdued caramelish sweetness, bitter, dark hard roasted malty, light liqourice touch. All going into a smooth finish from a more brutal start. Again rather dry and with a growing bitterness.
