Got to enter some back log to brake up the imp stout tasting ticks. 22oz bottle pours out peach golden topped with a white head. nose is a nice cherry spice some earthy notes and sweetness. taste is more of the cherries spice light tart notes and a little sweetness.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent gold with a large, frothy white head. Aroma is resin and malt. Med + body. It’s bitter, has some citrus/pine hoppiness, possibly detectable heat, and rather mild malt for support. Seems to get some earth and citrus after awhile. It’s not about exotic hops, but it makes a very strong statement - heavy duty IPA. Nice moderate hop burn on the tongue. Gotta disagree with the prior expert raters. No reason to rate it low because it’s not setting new horizons. It’s a very good beer. Very pleasant to drink.

12oz bottle, less than a month old for sure, beer just came out. Just bought this for the tick. Trying to break into the top 5 for Hale’s, so expectations aren’t high fr this beer. Clear muted golden color. Decent head retention. Its definitely a Session IPA, hop strong on nose, low bitterness, malts underrepresented. But the hops just smell bad to me - grassy urinal cake. Flavor loses a lot of the hop flavor. Slightly sweet, white bread malts. Generally, a waste of calories.

12oz can, I think relatively fresh, haven’t seen the cans before. Poured into a can shaped glass. What a surprising treat. Hale’s doesn’t usually impress but this. Aroma is malts but they aren’t husky, they aren’t cereal, they aren’t dusty, they aren’t sweet. Just a clean, fresh, airy pilsner aroma. This isn’t a "kolsch" but basically a pils. Similarly clean flavor, doesn’t pop as much as aroma but still very nice. I would definitely use a beer like this for mowing a lawn or floating down a Missouri river. Clear body, voluminous head.

Draft at Toronado. Very heady head. Sticky lacing. Tastes like a good DIPA 8 years ago. Without caramel, which is great. So, it’s hops, generic, malts present but fine. Old school but good.

Blind tasting, beer #5 of 6.
This was a below average placed beer. Funny part is it was sour and infected. Haha, of course Hale’s would screw up that way. The sourness provided enough novelty in a blind tasting that I didn’t totally kill the score. But definitely infected and not mildly.

Can from BottleDog Kings X/Clerkenwell, Thursday 17th March 2016 consumed on the train en route to Edinburgh in the company of Dad and Barry Friday 18th March 2016. Hazy gold, maybe more warm gold in colour with a white head. The aroma is pine with a touch of grapefruit backed up by some maltiness. Sweet maltiness in the mouth, the flavour is very much in the vein of many other American IPA?s but citrus and pine jostle for attention also. Like this. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Bomber from Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA. Pours hazy orange gold with a slight white head. Aroma is earth, fruit, wood, and maybe bourbon. I’m a bit uncertain on the whiskey. It’s not rye, but it could be a white wine barrel. Very intriguing aroma. Full bodied. It’s rather sweet - sort of light treacle/stone fruit. Heat is subtle. Looked on the web. Heaven Hills barrels - thus the subtlety. Where did white wine come from? Desperation! This is so complex. I will refrain from compounding errors. It’s very, very tasty. It’s amazing.

Tap at the brewpub.Pours dark brown/black with a beige/tan head. Aroma is malt and dark fruit? Bourbon? Med+ body. Flavor is sweet burnt malt; chocolate note; maybe coffee; maybe smoke; for me there’s bourbon. Subtle mixed wood and bourbon, maybe a little smoke. Fairly well balanced, but tilted to the sweet side. Very nice.
