Bottle, 22oz. It’s a dark brown one, more or less clear, and with a dark beige head. Quite chocolatey aroma, with vanilla and coffee. Roasted matls too. It’s full-bodied and quite sweetish, with vanilla, roasted malts and lots of chocolate. Pleasant carbonation. Chocolatey finish with a good touch of roasted malts and vanilla. Well, I certainly like the chocolate part of the beer, but it’s not superb in any way. But I like it though. 121109

22 oz. bottle, sent from tstockstrom (thanks a lot, Chuck), pours a cloudy orange amber with a small white head. Aroma is full of dried tropical fruits, orange zest and a truckload of citrus hops. Flavour is extremely bitter, full of orange and grapefruit rinds, loads of zest, loads of tropical fruits (mangos and pineapples), and boat loads of citrusy hops. Pungent bitterness with a very dry fruity dominance. Leaves a dry, high astringency on the finish. Very good stuff.

Pour is a dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma is of caramel and toffee. A nice spicy rye comes out. Lots of Belgian yeast finishes things off. Flavor is all things candi sugar and rye. Finish has a nice earthy rye spice that stays with you for awhile.
