Keg at Bridge - STL. Pours black-brown with a lasting, creamy beige head. Rich toasted grains in the nose, pine, cocoa and orange rind. Light sweet flavour with bitter coffee, baking cocoa, some burnt pine, more citrus rind. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with a touch of alcohol warmth, some flinty minerals, ashy roast, bittersweet cocoa, coffee grounds. Nice CDA.

Draft @ Tilquin English Fest ’16, courtesy of and shared with the fine Belgian RB crew, thanks Tderoeck. BB 04/16/2015. Great.

30/IV/16 - 33cl bottle from a trade @ train ride to Tilquin English Beer Festival - BB: n/a, bottled: IV/16/15 (2016-451) Thanks to Brian for the trade!
Clear dark amber beer, creamy beige to orange head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, very malty, caramel, sugary, some vanilla. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter start, bit malty, very resinous, caramel, little fruity. Aftertaste: bitter, resinous, piny, very bitter hops, grassy, dry finish. Well, it's pretty much what you'd expect from a one year old iipa...

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is strong coffee with a nice maple syurp and brown sugar. Flavor is pretty much the same as the aroma. A decent but not intense coffee with some maple and brown sugar. Using the highlanders grog style of coffee gives this a different take on the usual coffee stout. Very flavorful and rich.

12oz bottle, courtesy of gregwilsonstl, pours up with a crystal clear pure copper body that supports a light tan head of foam. The mild aroma offers up earthy grassiness, spicy woodiness, a citrus bite and then a wafer thin cloud of tropical fruit and floral hops. The taste begins with an array of hops producing a pleasing level of bitterness leading into thin streams of fruity juiciness. I get bitter grassy and herbal and spicy onion notes that quickly pick up bitter and juicy grapefruit and tangelo and just a bit of pineapple. This has a bit of a different hop profile than most and I’m digging it. The various bitter notes blend in well with the mild juicy notes that pop up from time to time.

Bottle from gregwilsonstl, thanks for the opportunity! Slightly hazy deep golden color large frothy off white head. Caramel and citrus pine aroma. Bready caramel flavor with a lingering resinous bitterness to the finish. A bit old school but not bad.
