Description
Fat Lizard Brewing Co. is a Finnish Indie brewery specializing in super fresh and drinkable American-style beers.

We’re located in Otaniemi, in the very heart of Espoo. As the first commercial brewery ever in Espoo, the company was founded by four fellows – Hessu, Topo, Topi and Eero – in 2014 and has been operative since February 2015. Today the brewery staff includes 15 irreplaceable characters altogether.

After many years of homebrewing and heavy testing, the recipes were just too good to keep for ourselves. It was time to build a brewhouse in Kivenlahti Rock Bay. Two years of constant sold-out storage left no beer for ourselves. So we moved on and expanded in Otaniemi with a decent sized brewing equipment going nationwide.

Now our beer portfolio contains various styles of craft beer, all made in our extraordinary way of brewing. Including internationally acclaimed gems. Drink more, drink better!

750ml bottle from Alko. Bottled 25.4.2017. Reddish saison with some raspberries, fizzy carbonation, hints of fruits, vinous notes and hops. Quite an unique combination.

Bottled@Post-PBF Lost-Box Hotel Room tasting (thanks hanniku!). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some sweet malts, mild berries and some yeastiness. Flavour is fruity, raspberries, some yeast, mild earth and sweetish malts. Quite a dry palate, making you want more.

Bottled@Pikkulintu, Helsinki. One bottle completely pea soupy mess as for aroma and flavour, luckily the bartender was fair enough to open another bottle, which was better. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some slight earth and mild notes of the pea soupiness. Flavour is fruity, floral, some peas, wood, mild herbs and some yeastiness.

Tap @ hbf 2017. Poured golden color with a thin white head. Wheaty sweet fruity, papaya, pineapple kinda aroma. Flavor has tropical fruits, pineapples, mango, sweetness. Medium bodied.

Tap @ hbf 2017. Poured golden color with a thick white head. Tropical fruity aroma, papaya and pineapples. Flavor has hop juice, malts, pine and tropical fruits. Nice bitterness.

Tap at HBF. Clear golden color, medium-sized white head. Sweet fruity aroma, mango, small white head. Medium-bodied. Fruity, strawberries, mango. A bit too sweetie berryish for my liking.

Tap at HBF. Dark amber-brown color, small beige head. Toasted, chocolaty aroma. Medium-bodied. Chocolate, a bit coffeish, hops. Basic but tasty.

Tap at HBF 2017, Helsinki. Colour is clear brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Pretty dry basic porter.
