Copper coloured body with an amber glow and a nice, three centimetre tall rich tan head. Aroma of metal, malt, rye, grain, toffee, earth, caramel and quite a bit of earthier hop scents. Medium to Full-bodied; Biting malt and caramel flavours with some nuts, earth, alcohol, rye, toffee, grain and a touch of oatmeal and other specialty grains. Aftertaste shows some alcohol, but a lot of caramel and rich toffee and earth characteristics while offering a subdued and pungent hop and caramel sweetness and flavour. Overall, a nice and pungent rye-based IPA that borders on Imperial, also just borders on a typical West Coast styled IPA. I sampled this sixteen ounce can purchased from San Diego Lindbergh Airport on 15-December-2016 for US$7,70 sampled in the terminal at Phoenix, Arizona (thanks full opening can) later in the day on 15-December-2016.

On tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Pours cloudy orange, medium white head. Hoppy, fruity, citrus, malty, caramel, some pine. some sweetness with lasting bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Pint can from Appellation Wines, Comely Bank. Pours hazy golden amber with a thick white head. Solid DIPA aromas, pine, resin, oily hops. Taste is clean, good bitterness. Hints of rye. Clean finish.

22oz bomber pours with a near opaque copper body that supports a thin dirty white head. The aroma offers up loads of grapefruit flavored gummy bears, citrus hops and then grapefruit juice. The taste delivers basically the same with grapefruit gummy bear candy, bitter grapefruit juice and bitter grapefruit like hoppiness. Amid the bitter notes it does get juicy with grapefruit and tangerines. Solid fruity IPA where this leads with bitter notes rather than juiciness.
