Description
Mike Hess Brewing is one of the premier craft breweries of San Diego. We set out with a mission to bring people together over great beer and were early on in the craft beer revolution. We were the region’s 33rd brewery back in 2010 when our first location, then a nano-brewery, in Miramar was opened. Now, in our 10th year, we have 5 locations in California, including the “OG” spot, which has since tripled in size!

Pours golden. Bit of foam, aroma of grassy hops, bit of barley and fresh bread. Taste has also some herbal hops. Some bitterness mingling with lager-like soft maltiness of this beer. Quite nice actually, especially refreshing on a hot summer day.

Can: Poured a bright yellow color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some good amount of lacing. Aroma of citrus notes with light bitter notes is pleasant enough. Taste is dominated by citrus hops notes with some bitter notes discernable with some light grainy notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed but doesn’t really stands out from the pack of IPA out there.
