Description
Mike Hess Brewing is one of the premier craft breweries of San Diego. We set out with a mission to bring people together over great beer and were early on in the craft beer revolution. We were the region’s 33rd brewery back in 2010 when our first location, then a nano-brewery, in Miramar was opened. Now, in our 10th year, we have 5 locations in California, including the “OG” spot, which has since tripled in size!

Keg at the North Park taproom, SD, 15/11/14. Clear golden with a well appointed off white head. Nose is light pine, citric peel, straw, bitter orange, toasted malt. Taste comprises light grapefruit, mineral notes, orange pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the close. So so for style, lacks depth and hops.

Can 1pint (AbM)
Clear golden color, small white head. Green apple, malts and grains in the nose. Light-bodied. Crisp, fruity green apple in the flavor. Some harsh hoppyness in the finish. Not the fresh can, so probably better when fresh from tap. Now as such, not much to remember.
