Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a dark golden-amber color with a medium sized creamy white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was sweet, boozy, bready and had some golden fruit. The flavor was sweet, honey, bready, boozy, almost pretzel and moderate golden fruits. Long boozy golden fruit finish. Full body. Solid.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown color. Moderate sized creamy tan head disappates slowly. Aroma has notes of coffee, molasses and licorice. First sip yields coffee and molasses notes. Bittersweet chocolate lingers on the tongue in the midtaste. Resiny hops in finish. Some tangy yeastiness throughout. Lacks the intensity and complexity typical of high quality Imperial Stouts. Good, not great.

2010 vintage being busted out by jcwattsrugger, thanks for sharing this with the group! Dark brown color without any head obviously. The aroma is burnt caramel, raisin, earthy malt without any noticeable oxidation of the nose.
The flavor on the other hand does show oxidation but not really bad, just a touch of cardboard. The dark fruit tones (sugar covered figs) with English toffee and old butterscotch hints. The body is on the fuller side with the alcohol completely hidden. Very nicely cellared.

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured an orange-brown color with a small foamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was malty molasses, maple and orange. The flavor was malty molasses, orange, maple, butterscotch and fruity hops. Moderate alcohol presence at first. The finish was long with maple, molasses and orange. The booziness grows and starts to distract. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.
