This pours opaque black with a creamy off white head that would have pleased me more had it stayed a little longer. The aroma is sweet toasted marshmallows and malt. The flavor is very restrained for a Porter. Yuengling's brews, while not the world's greatest, are all very drinkable and priced to give the major American Brands competition. This Porter is somewhat lighter than standards, a refreshing one that can last into the warmer months.

A surprisingly good porter- surprising because it's a macro- but then again, I'm a huge fan of their traditional lager.

Yuengling= the best cheap beer out there. Plain, simple, but very drinkable. Amber in color, small head. Aroma is sweetly hopped, mixed with malts. Flavor is plain, but crisp and drinkable.

Barf! this was awful. Stale, dry grainy flavor, lightly sour and just plain bad. May have been skunked though, I guess I'll try it again some time. . .

On tap. As drinkable as their amber lager. Not great, but certainly there are far worst beers you can choose out there. Don't expect a real Porter flavor to come through on this though. Their Porter is somewhat tame and it comes through in the mix. A drinkable refreshing beer nevertheless.

I was quite surprised that this was a drinkable cheap beer ($16+/case). I was travelling through Pennsylvania and wanted to bring home a mixed case of their beers (another story - what a hassle buying beer in PA is!!) Good golden color, clean inoffensive taste. A better beer than the major megaswills.

Pale golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of sugars, hops, light malt and some metal-not that bad! Light-bodied; Flavourful hoppy character with a mild malt finish. Aftertaste shows some metal but also some caster sugar. Overall, a better beer than the traditional lager-good for $1! I sampled this 12 ounce beer purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington, D.C. on 29-December-2003.

Light clear copper colour with a very fast dissolving tan head. Aroma of metal, malt and a super light hoppiness. Not bad for a light! Light-bodied (just as expected); Ultra-Carbonated; Thin malt flavour with a bunch of metal and no hops nor sweetness. Overall, a decent light, hardly any taste, but the aroma is nice! I sampled this twelve ounce beer courtesy of Haddon90 on 19-December-2003, Purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia. Thanks again Phil!

Typical american lager, no hops , clean tasting, probably uses adjuncts, rather innocuous..

Bottle. An amber color with little aroma. It's deinately better than your standard American lager, with more of a malt presence. Easy to drink.
