Draft @ Hoppalas Bieradies, Vienna. Pours a clear golden color with a longlasting white head. Has a fruity grainy weak bready aroma. Fruity malty slightly sweetish grainy flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy finish.

Die Brauerei wurde 2012 geschlossen. Es wurde überlegt, die Marke zu erhalten und in der Brauerei Grieskirchen weiterzubrauen, wurde aber aufgegeben. DIe Bügelflasche war in einigen Gasthäusern als Spezialität zu haben und eine nette Bereicherung der Karte. Das war in Zeiten vor dem Craftbier-Boom, daher geht es nicht wirklich ab.

Bottle @ home. Golden yellow appearance with a big, fluffy white head. Crisp, pale grainy malty, grassy, floral hoppy aroma. A touch fruity, sweet, pale malty, grassy, straw, hay, floral hoppy flavor. Tasty, easy drinking beer. Surprisingly a fresh German lager- wish I would have remembered where I picked this up- so many skunked German lagers are in the American market these days.

bottle from the brewery. Hazy deep golden colour, large white head. Lovely aroma - this smells like inside a brewery. Medium-bodied, grainy malt flavours with a pleasant herbal hoppiness in the finish. Good one.

bottle from the brewery. Clear pale yellow, large white head. Hoppy aroma. Dry, light body, elegant malty base with lots of herbal-grassy hops, slightly resiny. Good.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Big rocky white head; moderate sweet grainy-hoppy nose with a yeasty background; soft MF, light to medium bodied, light to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour; short yeasty-malty finish with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Pretty O.K., but no reason to get excited.....

Bottle at Aufsturz. Medium gold with a large white head. Aroma of malt and some light hop. Flavour starts light malty and has a light bitter background and finish. Slightly watery mouthfeel. Palate is lasting bitterness on the tongue.

Bottle 500ml.Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily tot watery, carbonation is soft. [20110218]
