500ml bottle. Pours very pale with a thick fluffy head. Aroma is lemon, lime, gooseberry and a little wheat. Flavour is citrus, grass and some sweet caramel on the finish. This is a nice citrusy crisp pilsner.

330ml can. Pours black with no head. Nose is charcoal, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavour is burnt chocolate, sweet vanilla and honey and a lot of boozy fig character as it warms. A fun idea, and really quite tasty, though not one I'd keep going back for. I also question the idea of an "afrodisiac" beer that's 8.5%. I mostly just feel sleepy now. Rerate: I went back, definitely still feeling sleepy but damn that's a tasty beer. Fig, vanilla, chocolate, toast, coffee. Big thick body. Nice bitter finish. Maybe it's this year's batch or maybe last year I was just grumpy and alone, but this really is delicious.

330ml can. Pours extremely pale, almost sickly pale, though with a nice fluffy head. Aroma is bread, pepper, tart lime and orange. There is so much slightly tart citrus fruit up top. Lime, grapefruit, mostly tart and savoury. Finish is bread, little yeast and a little more of that tartness. Really quite delicious.

330ml can into glass. Aroma of pine needles, grass, pepper. Hazy amber beer with thin film of bubbles on top. Full-bodied, easy-drinking. Sharp citrus flavours with a cleansing bitter finish. I keep noticing slight hints of mint (could be my imagination). Lovely drinkable pale ale.

330ml can. Aroma is hay, herbs and a ton of malts. Taste is a little better, with some grapefruit and lemon over all those malts. Aftertaste is a bit rough. Really quite disappointing.

On tap at Vultures Lane. Aroma is citrus and pine. Flavour is also pine and citrus, with a tad of biscuit in the background. Decent, but not great.

On tap at Vultures Lane. Aroma is all bread and sour. Taste is sour and a little perfumed, though I’m not sure the fruit comes through.

On tap at OGH. Little citrus in the aroma, and some biscuit and a touch of acidity. Taste is perfumed lemons, some biscuit and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Absolutely lovely APA.

Pint at brewer’s cooperative. This is extremely well balanced for an imperial ipa. There’s a good kick but it doesn’t last. The strength is well hidden, but I want more hops. Rerate: on tap at the Fat Cow. Pours deep orange brown. Caramel, strong lime, orange, grapefruit, touch of booze, touch of biscuit, touch of smoke. Good body. Very nice. Feel a bit like I should remove that old rating but I guess it's probably not the worst of those early days. I can see what the point was, it's not the happiest IIPA, but the malt flavours are gorgeous so it's not the best complaint.
