Bottle. According to the label this is a US attempt at a ESB. Pours with a medium sized bone colored head over a hazed amber (no better word for it), hued body. Aroma is malt forward with pine needles, light fruit/banana esters, toffee, ad vanilla. Taste is copper, vanilla and toffee, a bitter metallic note, raisins, light hops, and autumn leaves. Very good, but not a hop based experimentery(sp? at this time of the evening) amber ale. Light bubbles, but thin.

Bottle. Pours with a hazy golden body with a creamy white head. Aroma is grassy and sweet with bready notes and light banana esters. Taste is dry and grassy with light plastic notes. Light bodied and medium carbonation. Different than most Pilseners you can get in the US, and that’s a good thing.

Bottle. Pours with a small white head over a hazy golden body with good lace. Aroma of corn, grass and spicy grain. Taste is alcohol, bready with sweetness, grassy notes and some crispness. Light bubbles and quite refreshing for the high ABV. Couldn’t really bring my self to drink a lot of this, had a nasty flavor when it warmed and the alcohol clashed.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of DrBill. Slightly hazy golden with a small, rough white head. Sweet and malty nose. Medium body, very solid and sweet malt base while I don’t really pick up any corn. Hardly any bitternes. Perfect if you love malts! 070709

22 oz bottle purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, California. Pour is very slight haze golden yellow with a one inch white head that falls immediately. A bunch of carbonation bubbles. Aroma of sweet cherry, slight metallic and some light straw. Taste is sweet cherry vanilla, edgy dirty grassiness, turns really chemically in the middle. Palate is medium, cloying sweetness - really strange almost plastic thing going on. Big fusels. This was more like a malt liquor then other craft malt liquors I have had. Not a great thing.

22 oz bottle purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, California. Pour is hazed golden yellow with a frothy and lasting 2 inch pure white head. Nice sheets of lacing. Aroma of fresh bready, toasty grainy malt with some light floral earthy hops. Taste is the bready malt, though it has some earthy, almost dirty chemical edge to it which isn’t that nice. The floral hops are present, especially in the finish which has a straw grass bitterness. Very herbal. Palate is light to medium, with a long dry, even dusty, somewhat bitter finish.
