My pounder can does not say anything about rhubarb, it just says strawberry basil pi, so I hope this in the right place. I guess this glass jug place makes a lot of one-offs and nobody on ratebeer can keep track of it. Oh well, WTF, I bet this still tastes about the same so Ill rate it here. I'm just not sure because this say 4.5 and mine is 4.2%. Too lazy to make a guess and enter a new entry & only to have it deleted. Pop the can for an interesting off fruit nose which fades to a scented hand some olfactory. Nice head and the color is hazy pinkish pale. Taste is fairly friendly at first. Yet, that odd nose is a little bit of a turn off, must be the basil but it doesn't taste like basil. Yea, the taste is that of real wild beer and it is quite forgiving, lacks any hop bitterness. Not as much cutting co2 as was expected. Ok for a fruited sour, but was hoping for a little more tart wild beer impact. Somewhat farmy finish. That smell tho, could do without, fer sher.

32oz crowler pours with a near clear deep copper to mahogany colored body that supports a thin off white head of foam. The aroma offers up plums and a bit of dates supported by some molasses, muted oak and booze. The taste delivers pleasing slick and sweet prunes and dates flowing into molasses, sweetened blunted spicy oak and sweet thick malts. To midway the barrel treatment surfaces with soft boozy notes of rum, marshmallow and bourbon. This beer is put together with harmony and balance. Love it.
